1. UpdraftPlus

UpdraftPlus Plugin

UpdraftPlus is on top of the list because of its very job,i.e. to take backups of your WordPress blog.Let’s be honest.Anything can happen to your blog anytime. What if your blog crashes? What if you accidentally delete a file which you shouldn’t have deleted? Having a backup of your WordPress blog not only ensures that your work is not lost for whatever reason, but it also gives you the peace of mind to work on your blog without any worry of your site crashing. With UpdraftPlus you can either take backups locally or you can save backups directly to cloud services like Google Drive,Dropbox etc.

You must install this plugin in your blog.Google Analytics Dashboard gives you a thorough report of how your site is performing. It includes statistics like sessions, users, page views, bounce rate, organic search, pages/sessions, time on page, page load time, session duration etc.You need these statistics to understand how your audience is responding to your content, which posts are getting more traction, where is the majority of your audience coming from, how much time people are spending on your blog etc.Armed with this data, you can make relevant changes to your blog, content so that viewership of your blog can increase.

4. Cloudflare Flexible SSL

Cloudflare Flexible SSL PLugin

This plugin is the odd man out in the list.I say that because I am still testing this plugin and also it is a bit different than other plugins in terms of its functionality. So getting a SSL certificate is really important for your blog/website because it indicates professionalism as well as it instills a sense of trust among your readers. Now you can either pay for this when you buy hosting from your host or there are other workarounds using which you can get this SSL certificate without paying a single dime of your money. This plugin is one of those workaround.I have been testing this plugin for over a week now and honestly I am not entirely satisfied but also not entirely disappointed. Here’s a tip,if you see the ‘Not Secure’ message before the URL right now, this plugin is not working,if you see an ‘i inside a circle’ symbol before the URL right now, this plugin is half working and if you see a ‘lock’ symbol before the URL,than this plugin is working alright. You can tell me in the comment section below which message/symbol you are seeing currently.

5. Contact Form 7

Okay, this plugin lets you insert a contact form in your WordPress blog so that your readers can contact you and send you a message easily. If you want a glimpse of what this plugin does, you can click on the contact menu at the top and see the contact form for yourself.

Tell me in the comment section below if you have installed any of the above plugins in your WordPress blog, also tell me if you know any other plugin which might be useful to use in blog..
